Mission |

The mission of the
Economic Development Council is to work with
businesses and citizens in building a thriving
regional business community, establishing a strong
financial base that will assure an adequate supply
of jobs for our families and build prosperity for
all. |
Goals |
|
The primary goal
of the Economic Development Council to fulfill our
mission is to build a sustainable regional economy
through economic development programs for the
Cities of Cascade, Donnelly, Lake Fork and McCall located in
Valley County and Garden Valley, Crouch, Lowman in Boise County.
To accomplish this
we will be involved in the marketing and
recruitment of new businesses, retaining and
expanding existing businesses, creating jobs and
building a larger tax base for the benefit of all
residents; and maintaining a high quality of life. |
Objectives |

The organization
will operate with clear focus to fulfill its
mission. Our Strategic Plan will serve as a
roadmap aimed at achieving those goals and
objectives with the highest level of
effectiveness. Our purpose will be to achieve
results in the following five areas: |
Economic
Development |
|
Create an effective
organization based on a thorough knowledge of the
needs and objectives of all stakeholders in the
future of Boise and Valley Counties. The Council plans to
create a minimum of 100 new primary jobs at a high
level of quality and income for our region.

Business
Recruitment |
|
Implement the
marketing plan to attract and recruit new
businesses to provide capital investment and
employment opportunities for the citizens of Boise
and Valley County.
|
Business
Retention and Expansion |
|
Develop and
implement retention and expansion programs that
will encourage businesses to pursue their growth
and development plans within the region. Refer
businesses to the correct resources, contacts and
help with their efforts.
Develop and
implement aggressive programs for regional
economic development in Boise and Valley County.
Communicate consistently with investors and local
communities to promote and enhance economic
development opportunities and overcome the
barriers to development. The Economic Development
Council will become a major marketing organization
in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest. |
